Preparation and Laying
Artificial turf must be laid on a firm base with no potholes or bumps –
- ensure potholes are filled with gravel
- roll first to put down stones
Ensure the track is free draining – a slight camber is ideal.
Laying
The rolls of artificial turf are carried by pallet forks and placed with 30cm overlapping the previous mat.
A mini-digger or other back-hoe digger then rolls the artificial turf out.
If it looks like it is out of line, straighten up the roll with the back-hoe as you go along – it is difficult to straighten it up once fully rolled out.
